Eller Hall, LLC is a family friendly, pop-up dance hall in Abilene Texas, offering floors, live music, and space for friends and families to create vintage memories that will last a lifetime. Family friendly is at our core, and we strive to conduct business, relationships, and entertainment in a manner where you can bring your family, and still have an enjoyable evening. We are currently offering pop-up dances as schedules permit, in the great spaces around Abilene.

“WAITING FOR SIDE 2” (December 26, 2018) Abilene, Texas:
We’re not sure if you’ve heard or had those stories of visiting old towns and old dance halls across Texas. Rumor says they’re fading fast. Folks sittin’ on the curb, talking with friends, dancing with loved ones, surrounded with the sounds of music guiding the memories.The dream was to have a family dance hall. The dream has come true.February 2017 brought our first gathering, the BELOVED DANCE at Eller Hall. We completed the circuit through December 2018 to officially host 21 dances, including our second Beloved Dance in February 2018. What an amazing journey it has been so far. We were utilizing warehouse space in downtown Abilene for the families, friends, and neighbors of Abilene Texas to experience time together, live music, local food trucks, and plain ol’ traditional entertainment. Since we are renting the space and these dances are not offered consistently every weekend, we refer to our dance events as ‘pop-ups’.If you step to the side long enough, you’ll see generations gathered in the same place. Small children filled with laughter, attempting to move their feet in rhythm to the sounds of old songs. Families come together. Some older couples glide gently across the floor as if dancing was the 6th love language. We have some talk about the days when they grew up, going dancing with their families on the weekend…cause that’s all there was to do. There’s even a few folks hanging about only to listen to the live band, and witness the excitement of a youngins first dance. It’s so simple. It’s pure and utter joy. And it makes me smile.
We hope this place, no matter how short or how long it’s open, will provide you with a brief space in time to create some of those vintage memories with your loved ones…and maybe some new friends. It’s amazing to think of the neighbors we might not have met.
And now, we search for a different space to host dances. The dream and vision is not gone. We love it as much as you.
In keeping with our connection to the past, the first side of the album is a teaser for the things to come.
For now, we remember, we dream, we find other ways to connect with friends and family and we wait for Side 2 …See ya there.
